Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
This policy covers the BitByte.games website and every game we publish, including Granny Match, whether you play it in a web browser or install it from Google Play or the App Store. The short version: we don't collect personal data about you.
Who we are
BitByte.games is a small independent games studio. If you have any question about this policy or your data, email us at support@bitbyte.games.
Our website
We count visits to this website with EasyAnalytics, a privacy-first analytics tool. It tells us things like how many people visited a page and which website sent them there, as totals only.
- It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
- Your IP address is never stored. It is used only for the moment it takes to count a visit and is then discarded.
- It does not build a profile of you, and it cannot recognise you across websites or from one day to the next.
- If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, your visit is not counted at all.
Like almost every website, our web server briefly keeps standard technical logs (such as the page requested and the time) so we can keep the site secure and working. These are not used to identify anyone and are deleted routinely.
Our games
- No accounts. You never need to sign up, log in or give us your name or email address to play.
- Your progress stays on your device. Levels completed, settings and similar game data are saved only on the phone, tablet or browser you play on. We can't see them, and they are removed if you uninstall the game or clear your browser's site data.
- No personal data collected. Our games do not collect, store or send us personal information, location, contacts, photos or advertising identifiers.
We never sell your data
We don't sell, rent or trade any data, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to sell.
Children
Our games are suitable for players of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by emailing us, contact us and we will delete it.
If you email us
If you contact us at support@bitbyte.games, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you, and we delete support emails once they are no longer needed.
App stores
If you download one of our games from Google Play or the App Store, that store handles the download and any purchase under its own terms and privacy policy. Google and Apple may collect information about you in doing so; please see their privacy policies. We do not receive personal data about you from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under UK or EU data protection law), you have rights to ask what data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. Because we don't collect personal data, there is usually nothing to hand over, but you're always welcome to ask at support@bitbyte.games.
Changes to this policy
If anything changes, for example if we add advertising to a game in future, we will update this page before the change happens and change the date at the top. Where a change is significant, we will also say so in the game or on our website.
